This is a collection of our favorite Waldorf or Waldorf-ish books for little ones - while we don’t solely read Waldorf style books in our home (see other posts for more book recs!) these are some you would find in Waldorf school libraries, book stores, kindergartens and homes. Many of these were gifted to us by mom and are our staples. You’ll find the artwork in Waldorf picture books has a special feel that’s undeniably sweet!

This is a sweet book of the arc of a child’s day, my baby enjoys this very much. It’s a great pick for welcoming a new baby or an early birthday, Easter or other holiday gift.
This little set of board books is a classic - sweet scenes reminiscent of the seasons. You can also Vh of the books out individually if you’re not ready to grab the whole set. A nice idea for a new baby or a 1-2 year old birthday too!
Another by Gerda - this is a cute tale of … footprints in a wintry scene - leaving the reader or listener to decide who is who and what is what! My three year old loves this one.
This is a childhood favorite of mine. I love the personification of Mrs. thaw and Jackie Frost - the images stay with you and enliven winter time for young eyes. My three year old adores this one and talks about how he doesn’t want Mrs. Thaw to come to our house too soon either…
Grandfather Twilight - a classic bedtime book
This is up there in my top five children’s books… ever. And one of our top two night time bedtime books. It’s soft, pensive and meditative and puts your child in the mood for sleep! The gorgeous scenes painted by Barbara Berger are dreamy and sweet. Again, this is one that will stay with you for years to come!
