The holidays are upon us! I started early this year. While in no way comprehensive - here are some of our favorite holiday and Christmas / winter books for my two little ones- four and a half and nearly two years old!
While these are a few fave Waldorf-leaning books listed out, you can also see photos for more details on nice seasonal choices that aren’t specifically Waldorf too! ✨
Ollie’s Ski Trip - this is one of my favorite books from childhood, it’s the most charming story about Ollie who meets Jack Frost, visits King Winter, and has a memorable brush in with Mrs. thaw.
Whose Footprints are These? Another Gerda Miller classic my mom got the children last year - this is the cutest picture book (no words) great for any age due to the vivid scenes and insinuated animals - but especially for age 2-5 perhaps. On sale early December!
The Mitten - one of our favorites, from on of my personal favorite illustrators of kids books Jan Brett! Also currently on sale. My kids adore this one, great gift idea too!
The Tompten - a total classic with a special serene mood given that the book takes place during the stillness of the night.
Pip the Gnome and the Christmas Tree - my 22 month old asks to reread this several times in a row, and it is a super sweet tale of Christmas prep. I can see it being best for ages 1-3 or 1-4, the board book is a great option. I’ve just seen that there are other Pip the Gnome books and will definitely be snagging a couple for my youngest for Xmas or her second birthday in January!

That’s it for now - more soon!
