The sun is shining - the last weeks of school are upon us, and we’re soaking up the fresh air outside as much as possible before mosquito season.

Looking for a few outdoor open-ended play ideas to enrich your outside space? We’ve found a couple amazing pieces that have already been played with for hours upon hours.

Top choice:

We adore the Tiny Land Mud Kitchen that is nearly all wooden with metal accessories. My two year old goes out to play with this every single day, at least once! The four year old is also interested in it - they will wander the garden grabbing small flowers and leaves and make “soup”, or wash little cars or animal toys - etc.

Why this one specifically?

The large water tank, preventing the need for constant refills! (This is key) plus it’s nearly all wood, and it is weather resistant. The stove top also flips over to become a little bin (add dirt, stones, flowers, and of course - water!)

My toddler’s favorite thing so far is when I give her various vessels of color-tinged water that she can mix and pour.

Gardening tools like these - can’t go wrong!

This cute set by one of my favorite danish brands Konges Slojd is beautiful, probably great quality - and a good summer gift idea!

I plan to snag something like this some time this summer, a cute ball and cone set.

These types of kites on a fishing rod are easy for toddlers to use!

More soon!
